Our Story — Born From a Real Migration Problem

Webtime Corporation was founded in 2010 with a focus on software development for businesses. In the early years we worked across web development and enterprise applications — but one project changed our direction permanently.

We were running a large internal document migration. Thousands of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Project files needed to move to a new server — and the moment we completed the move, we discovered that every hyperlink, every OLE object reference and every link source in every document was now broken. The old server name was embedded in hundreds of thousands of places across our document library.

The options were stark: spend weeks manually opening documents one by one and fixing links by hand, or build something better. We built ReplaceMagic.

The tool we created for ourselves — built around the principle that no document should need to be opened to fix its links — turned out to be exactly what hundreds of other enterprises needed too. We launched ReplaceMagic publicly and have been developing it continuously ever since.

15 Years of Continuous Development

Since 2010, ReplaceMagic has grown from a single-scenario server migration tool into a comprehensive document migration platform covering 9 file formats, all major link types, and native integration with SharePoint Online and on-premises. Every major version has been driven by real customer scenarios — SharePoint migration support, tenant-to-tenant link repair, Power Query handling, Microsoft Information Protection support, database result storage and much more.

We release updates regularly. Every release note on our blog represents a real customer problem solved.

What We Believe

No document should be opened to fix its links

Opening documents manually to fix links doesn’t scale. ReplaceMagic processes file formats directly — every fix happens without launching Word, Excel or any other application.

 Preview before you commit

Every replacement run can be previewed before writing a single change to disk. Our customers run migrations on enterprise document libraries with confidence because they can validate first.

 Built on real customer scenarios

Every feature we have ever added was driven by a real customer problem. We have helped hundreds of enterprises through complex migrations — that experience is embedded in the product.
