Consulting Services/Custom Development As our primary focus is software development, our availability for consulting services and custom development is limited. However, if you need ReplaceMagic training, assistance with your document migration, support for any ReplaceMagic-related scenario, or potential custom development, we would be happy to discuss consulting options with you. Consulting services are offered on an hourly basis at a rate of $200 per hour (click HERE to purchase). For onsite engagements, additional travel and related expenses may apply.

For example, by entering a quantity of 2, you will purchase 2 hours of consulting time.

Please note that consulting hours are valid for six months from the date of purchase and will expire if not used within this period.

Remark: If you require consulting services or custom development, please contact us at support@replacemagic.com. We will need to understand your requirements before preparing a proposal.

Please note that any started consulting hour is billed as a full hour.

What Consulting Covers

Consulting engagements are scoped to meet the specific needs of your project. Typical areas of work include:

  • Migration planning: reviewing your document estate, identifying link types, estimating repair effort, and recommending the right ReplaceMagic edition or editions.
  • Configuration assistance: setting up ReplaceMagic for your specific scenario, configuring the SharePoint connection, and tuning parallel processing for optimal throughput.
  • Replacement design: helping you identify the correct search/replace string pairs for complex multi-rule migrations involving absolute, relative and ID-based links.
  • Troubleshooting: diagnosing why specific documents fail to process, resolving SharePoint authentication issues, and handling edge cases that fall outside standard documentation.
  • Training: teaching your team how to use ReplaceMagic effectively for the current project and for ongoing document maintenance.
  • Custom development: building custom extensions or integrations when standard ReplaceMagic features do not cover a specific requirement.

What Is NOT Included

  • The actual scanning and replacement runs — these are initiated by you and run until completion. We provide clear, step-by-step instructions covering every stage.
  • Ongoing document management after the project is complete.
  • SLA-based response times — see Premium Support for guaranteed-response options.

How Consulting Hours Work

  • Purchased in blocks of one hour minimum.
  • Valid for six months from the date of purchase.
  • Delivered via phone and/or screen-sharing sessions at a time agreed with you.
  • Onsite engagements are available — travel and accommodation costs are billed separately.
  • For large projects, contact us before purchasing to discuss scope and fixed-price options.
